Turning Over a New Leaf is a Harry Potter roleplay forum meant for intermediate to advanced roleplayers only. Harry Potter is in his seventh year of Hogwarts. He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named seems to be at the peak of his raging power. Will Harry Potter be able to stop him, or will he too fall? Will you join the loyal deatheaters or the noble order members? Or, perhaps you will just sit back and watch. The choice is yours. But you must know that no one is safe. Turning Over a New Leaf

The Grounds of Hogwarts
[ ]Hagrid's Cottage
Hagrid lives here. The small hut is made of wood, but is also very homey. Behind the cottage is a pumpkin patch surrounded by a wooden fence. Fang, Hagrid's dog, lives here also.
00
[ ]Vegetable Gardens
The vegetable gardens. Consiting of any vegetable you can imagine(especially cabbage).
00
[ ]Greenhouses
There are at least three green houses. Professor Sprout teaches Herbology here. All greenhouses are filled with wonderful plants, most of them magical.
00
[ ]Flowerbeds
Roam the beautiful flower gardens.
00
[ ]The Forbidden Forest
The forest is strictly off limits to students unless they have a lesson or are serving their detention. There's a reason, too. It's filled with tons of dark creatures and if you get lost inside these woods - you may not ever find your way out. Is that really going to stop you, though?
00
[ ]The Whomping Willow
The Whomping Willow - a massive willow tree with a spell set upon it. Get too close and it will take you out. It was first planted when Remus Lupin came to hide the entrance to the Shrieking Shack.
00
[ ]The Lake
The lake is located to the south of tne castle. It is about a half mile in diameter. Several creatures live in these waters: a giant squid, merfolk, and grindylows. Swim at your own risk.

[ ]Courtyard
Students use the courtyard for taking in the fresh air and pretty scenery.
00
Dungeons
[ ]Slytherin Common Room
A cold, dark dungeon strictly for Slytherins. The Slytherins rest and hang out here usually after six or seven oclock.
00
[ ]Potions Dungeon
The Potions master will hold his classes here. In the back of the dungeon is a small closet, in which you can find thousands of different materials needed for potion making. I wouldn't reccomend trying to get in, though(unless you're looking for a beating or two).
00
[ ]Kitchens
Tickle the pear and make your way through. These are the kitchens where the food is prepared by the house elves. If you stop by, I'm sure the house elves will be eager to serve you whatever you desire.
00
Hogwarts - Ground Floor
[ ]Entrance Hall
You will always go through this on the first day of school. Line up here for trips to Hogsmeade, or meet up here with your friends.
00
[ ]The Great Hall
This is where first years will be sorted and where everyone will eat their three meals - breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is prepared by the house elves and literally appears right before your eyes.
00
[ ]Portrait Hall
A room with hundreds and hundreds of pictures of wizards and witches important in history. Not very fascinating to students, but it's still a lot of fun to look at.
00
[ ]Empty Classrooms
Hogwarts is massive, we all know that. It has hundreds and hundreds of rooms, but only about thirteen percent of them are occupied. The other eighty seven percent are empty, open to anyone. They're good hideouts.
00
First Floor
[ ]Hospital Wing
Have a nasty encounter with a bludger? Swallowed a potion you weren't supposed to? Madame Pomphrey will fix you up in a heartbeat.
00
[ ]Room of Requirement
A hidden room on the first floor. It's door is invisible and you literally have to think to find it. When you do find it, you walk into whatever you think of.
00
Second Floor
[ ]Transfiguration
Professor Mcgonagall teaches her Transfiguration classes in this room. If you're late - don't be fooled by the cat sitting on the desk - that's Mcgonagall!
00
[ ]Library (1 sub-board)
A massive room with dozens of tables and bookshelves. Madame Prince takes pride in her library, so if you break anything: I reckon you should run. Anyway, the library is the perfect place to study or to finish up that two foot long essay you forgot about.
00
[ ]Girls Lavatory
No one comes in here anymore due to the ghost that haunts these stalls: Moaning Myrtle. If you're one of the few who can actually stand her whining, come on in.
00
Third Floor
[ ]The Mirror of Erised
The Mirror of Erised has special powers. Enscripted on the top of the mirror is: erised stra ehru oyt ube cafru oyt on wohsi. When translated correctly, it says I show not your face but your heart's desire. Everyone who looks in the mirror sees something different.
00
[ ]Corridor
Please note that after 8 pm you must be back in your common rooms. Anyone who is caught wandering around at night receives a night of detention in the Forbidden Forest.
00
[ ]Charms
The professor for charms will teach his/her classes here. It's a spacious room, so you should never be too close to anyone.
00
Fourth Floor
[ ]Muggle Studies
Muggle Studies classes will be held here.
00
[ ]Trophy Room
All the trophies and medals from all years at Hogwarts are displayed in this room. Students often serve their detention here which means they polish every single trophy or medal.
00
Fifth Floor
[ ]Hufflepuff Common Room
The Hufflepuffs sleep and rest here. They are meant to be back in the common room by 8 pm.
00
[ ]Prefect's Bathrooms
A bathroom only for the prefects and quidditch captains. It is all marble and the chandelier is candlelit. The bathtub is rectangular and about the size and depth of a swimming pool, complete with a diving board and hundreds of taps each with a differently colored jewel set into the handle. From the taps not only comes water, but also pink and blue bubbles. There is a painting of a blonde mermaid on the wall and a pile of white pillows in the corner.

00
Sixth Floor
[ ]Haunted Room
Yes, the whole school is haunted, but this room is the darkest room in any wizarding school for miles around. Extremely grusome detentions have been served here in the past. Blood marks the walls of those once killed in here. You can hear the faint echo of screams at times. Or at least, this is all what people say. Are you willing to prove them wrong?
00
Seventh Floor
[ ]Gryffindor Commonroom
Those of the Gryffindor House belong here by 8 pm. The painting that protects the common room, The Fat Lady, is very sensative so if she happens to be having a moment and doesn't let you in - don't do anything about it.
00
[ ]Divination
Professor Trelawney teaches her students in this room. She's a loony, just so you know. Do you have the capability to see into the 'eye of the future?'
00
Towers
[ ]Ravenclaw Tower
The tower for those in the Ravenclaw house. Basically, this is the common room. All Ravenclaw students must be in here by 8 pm.
00
[ ]Owlery
All of your owls will be kept here. Come up here anytime you want (before 8, that is) to send a letter to someone, or maybe just to spend time with your pet. Watch out for the flying bird poop, though.
00
[ ]Astromony Tower
Astromony classes are taught here. The tower does not have a roof since in astromony you look at the sky. The edge of the tower is lined with a dozen telescopes, all of which students look through to observe their stars. This tower isn't just for classes, though. You can come up here just to stargaze if you feel like it.
00
Outside Hogwarts
[ ]Hogsmeade Village (10 sub-boards)
Hogsmeade is the only settlement in Britain inhabited solely by magical beings. It is located north-west of the Hogswart castle and students were once permitted to visit it on select days, but not anymore (although, students seem to manage to get there somehow anyway...)
00
[ ]Knockturn Alley
You'll usually find dark wizards lurking back here. This alley is entirely devoted to dark magic products(it isn't the place you want to be if you're looking for Hogwarts supplies). Be aware that by going here, you are putting yourself at risk.

in i can't take direction...
[ ]Diagon Alley (11 sub-boards)
Diagon Alley is in the wizarding world. To get here, you can use Floo Powder, you can appariate, or you can pass through the Leaky Cauldron. The only muggles that are allowed in here are the parents of muggleborn children. For those who are shopping for Hogwarts equipment, Diagon Alley supplies all needs.
00
[ ]Houses
The residences of all magical folk. You must sign up for a house in the sign up board in order to post here.
Please remember that if you are a student at Hogwarts, you only go home on breaks
00
[ ]Little Hangleton (2 sub-boards)
Where The Dark Lord himself grew up as a child and killed his parents and grandparents. In Little Hangleton you will find the graveyard where Voldemort's parents are buried and the Riddle House, where Voldemort's family lived(now a safehouse for the DE).
00
[ ]Azkaban Prison
Where you will serve your time out if you misbehave. A very, very long time out that will slowly eat away at your brain and drive you crazy. This has got to be one of the gloomiest places ever in the wizarding world - but what do you expect for a prison? Located on it's own rocky island in the middle of a very stormy sea.
00
[ ]St. Mungo's Hospital
St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries is the best hospital in the wizarding world. It is a red-brick building that does look a tad bit old fashioned, but is that supposed to stop them from saving lives?
00
[ ]Godric's Hollow
Godric's Hollow is a historical village located in Wales. It's where Lily and James Potter were murdered on the Halloween of 1981 and where Harry Potter received his lightning scar. Godric's Hollow is named after Godric Gryffindor, the founder of Hogwarts and the Gryffindor house. It now is partially populated by muggles, but still lives on forever in magic history.
00
[ ]Number Twelve, Grimmuald Place
Grimmuald Place is formerly home to the Blacks, an ancient pureblood family of wizards. Only those of the magical population can see the house and only if told the location by Dumbledore. Grimmuald Place is now the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix.
00
[ ]The Burrow (1 sub-board)
A seven story high house home to the Weasleys. The house is so magical that even magic is the only thing keeping the house standing.
00
[ ]The Ministry of Magic (8 sub-boards)
The governing body of the magical community of Britian. It is known that other countries have their own Ministries of Magic. The job of the Minister for Magic seems to include executive, legislative and judicial functions.
